Buy before you sell.

This is one good tip for affiliates. All of us want to make money. But are we sensitive enough to think about the buyers? Or we just want to make money? That’s it.

Rosalind Gardner said in her newsletter about be honest on what you say. How to be honest? Tell what you know and don’t lie. If you want to sell an e-book, try to purchase it first then write an honest review about it.

If people like it, they will buy it. The most important thing is if people like YOU then they will buy it through your affiliate link.

So if possible, buy before you sell. Write an honest review about the products and make your customer satisfied buying the products that YOU recommend.

Google PR10 websites

After google did revise its index few weeks ago, there are few websites that get the highest PR10. Some of them are

  • adobe.com
  • apple.com
  • macromedia.com
  • nasa.gov
  • blogger.com
  • whitehouse.gov
  • statcounter.com
  • and of course google.com itself 🙂

The interesting part is the statcounter.com. If you are looking for stats counter for your website or blog, maybe you can try statcounter.com. Me myself haven’t try it yet. But will do some other day.

Why some people get rich?

Went to a seminar today (some sort of training of trainers).

A quick share on the motivational part. Why some people do get rich and most of us don’t? You will only be given (anything, responsiblility, money etc) when only you are prepared for it and able to handle it.

So what does it mean? It means, you have to struggle and try to improve yourself continously in order for you to achieve more. No matter you talk about money or anything.

What you need to do then? Always search ways to improve yourself and prepare for more. More responsibilities, more risk, more contacts, more knowledge and you’ll be getting more of what you want.

iklan101.com is up and running

At last I managed to finish up the classifieds portal iklan101.com (beta version). Some of the advantages of this classifieds are

  • No registration required to post ad
  • Immediate ads appearance
  • Search engine friendly (still working on it)
  • Simple and easy navigation

Will further enhance the application to make it smarter than other classifieds apps. Hope so. Just have a visit on the classifieds portal iklan101.com and revisit it in this few weeks since I will make continous update on it until all features planned are there.

Stop reading. Start doing.

So many writers. So many information on the internet. Sometimes you don’t even know which one to follow which one not. And most of them you are not doing anything about the info. We are facing the too many info syndrom.
I don’t know how much of my time spent reading other people’s articles, blogs, forums, websites, e-books etc to gain knowledge on internet marketing/business. Several of my online projects are pending and I’ve to focus to finish them up as soon as I can. Then I need to proceed with my planned projects.
All I need to have are quality time and discipline to finish all the projects and forget about them for a while then.

Old website design

Just browsing the net and found that my old, old website is still active. http://invtr.tripod.com. I access the page via ftp and download all the directories and files in it.

I found few old website designs I made in 2001 where I was still studying at MMU. Below are some of the screenshots

Busy week

So busy this week settling unsettled programming project with client. Do not have time to do my internet marketing work but still have time to monitor the result 🙂

Today I realize my blog and my few other sites has page rank on them. Hmm.. it has been almost 2 months since I register this domain name. Seems google is doing its major indexing to include/exclude/rank websites in its database.

So what I can conclude is you have 3 major milestones to achieve in building a high-traffic website

  1. Get indexed by search engine. How to check? Just type your URL on the search box. If it produces result then your site has been indexed (is in the search engine database)
  2. Get as many quality links as possible. How to do this? Find related websites/blogs/forums and post quality comments or request for link exchange with them.
  3. Place as many content on your website as possible, always update it with fresh content, write keyword-targeted content. How to target what to write? Search for high-demand keyword (you can use Overture Keyword Suggest Tool)

The MOST important thing – DO IT man.. don’t just know it and say it but do nothing about it. Take action!

Adwords problem

I’ve been changing some description and URL for my current adword campaigns. But seems it would not take effect immediately or few minutes after that as claimed. Sometimes it takes days for them to review and approve the ad campaign. And when it has been for almost a week, then I send them e-mail to let the ad campaign runs.
Need to focus on creating more ad campaign to promote websites and online products for this 2 weeks.
